Biography

My name is Lucie Chlumská, I was born on the 4th of september 1982 in the city of Brno, Czech. After completing my basic aducation (9 years), I studied four years of Library and Information Services at the "SOŠIKS" school in Brno. In 2001 I was accepted in to the musical and acting department of the Janáček Academy of the Performing Arts. I graduated in september 2005 with a degree in Musical acting. Due to my mother´s proffesional acting influence I has been involved in the theatre from very young age. I have also devoted myself to singing since I was 5 years old and was a member from 1993 - 1999 of the Brno States Philharmonic Kantilena Choir where I performed with the Janáček National Theatre in such operas as Turandot, Jakobin, Carmen. My studies have also included dance and 3 years of recorder (flute) lessons. During my time at the JAMU school I also sang at the prestigious hotel Voroněž in night bar. 2004 I was awarded 2nd place in the Czech National ZLINTALENT vocalist contest as well top prize by the journalist jury. Now I work like an independent musical actress without any permanent contract...
